Sharing Content Multiple Times – It’s OK To Do It

3-social-sharing-timelineA common question among photographers, or any business person for that matter, is about timing and repetition in social media.

What I mean is this…

People wonder if they should post the same content to social media more than once in a day, in a week, in a month, etc.

It comes down to this simple answer: YES.

Think about your audience, when they’re online and when they’re not.

People have meetings like you have meetings.

People aren’t always on the computer or looking at their phones at the exact moment you are

That’s why CoSchedule and Buffer both recommend sharing content multiple times at various points in time,

The trick here, though, is to make sure the content you are sharing is not identical.  Both Buffer and CoSchedule can simplify that process for you.  However, you can do this manually as well using a Google Doc or Excel spreadsheet.  Keep a log of your content, and blurbs you’d like to share with them.

When all is said and done, you should be testing timing and reposting effectiveness.  If one schedule and repost count isn’t working, adjust and try something else.

Like in all things marketing, test, test, test.
